7 Sexy Ideas for Home Based Business Entrepreneur Start Up

Any business, no matter how big or how small, starts out with an idea. The ideas were non-tangible things that entrepreneurs started up into real live businesses. Similarly, home based business entrepreneurs need ideas to start up. Perhaps you can take these ideas and turn them into money making businesses? Anyone with a computer, the internet, and a pulse can make them happen.

Idea #1: Start up a home based business by selling things on E-bay. Research what is selling on E-bay and get involved in that niche by buying wholesale and selling for profit. Learn the tips and tricks of how to effectively sell on E-bay and how to maximize your profits.

Idea #2: Find out about a topic that people want information on and would pay for that kind of information. Write an e-book or a report that contains the information that the people are looking for, and then sell it.

Idea #3: Buy or otherwise obtain private label rights products/articles/books/etc. You can do whatever you please with these. You can rewrite the books to your own taste and resell it for 100% profit. If you have a lot of PLR articles about a certain topic, you could compile those into a book for reselling.

Idea #4: Start up your own online store. More and more people are buying things online, so you could cash in on this. What exactly would you like to sell and to who would you sell it to?

Idea #5: Build websites for other people. Some people are too afraid to learn programming with HTML, no matter how many books they read or how many courses they take. You might have experience with websites or you can learn HTML from free resources. I know someone who got paid $75 for designing just one site, so there's money to be made in this field.

Idea #6: Another home based business for an entrepreneur to start up is a service-based business. Perhaps you know how to get a complete idiot's site to the top 10 search engine rankings for a certain keyword. There are people will pay money for that, you just have to put your business in front of them. Perhaps you can give consulting services in a certain area, or can do other services that people outsource. What other services can you think of that you can provide for money?

Idea #7: This is a popular one: join an affiliate program, and and get into the business of affiliate marketing. You promote products from these affiliate programs, and get paid commissions when you refer sales and sign-ups. If you can't create your own product or service you should look into this.

These are seven great ideas for entrepreneur start up. But these are just a tiny sample as to what kinds of ideas are available to be turned into home based businesses. Use one of these ideas, or come up with your own, and start your own business.

Online Business Copyrights and Disciplines

Online businesses do best with online marketing. Online opportunity and online work is, at the moment, at its zenith. Online communities help me connect Defining Collaboration Communities and Collaboration Web 2. Perhaps a better way of stating the issue is: What should you do to make online work successful in your work area. Most people manage by deadlines, and making decisions based on the online input keeps it real. People need to know what they are expected to do when they come to the online work area.

Creative Commons licenses attach to the work and authorize everyone who comes in contact with the work to use it consistent with the license. Creative Commons licenses are expressed in three different formats: the Commons Deed (human-readable code), the Legal Code (lawyer-readable code); and the metadata (machine readable code). Creative Commons licenses give you the ability to dictate how others may exercise your copyright rights—such as the right of others to copy your work, make derivative works or adaptations of your work, to distribute your work and/or make money from your work.

You will want to check to see that the online program you are interested in provides solid, standards-based content, is an accredited program, and the instructors are licensed by the state certification agency in the subject area of the course. (There are some strong and mixed views about whether that would fly in a court if one is licensed as a counselor or therapist. The issue of license portability also was raised, specifically in the context of forensic evaluation as an expert, but of course the notion of having cooperation between states would have greater implications for the profession as more consultation of all varieties becomes easier to do through the use of technology. The license is a statement as to what others may do with your work, so you should select a license that matches what you are happy for others to do with your work. Finally, you can also consult with a lawyer to obtain advice on the best license for your needs.

What information should your organization know, but you don't. This information will get you started as you explore the online learning opportunity. If you want to see how this online endeavor works, check out some of the information for the other "audiences," like the online teacher. The manager needs intelligent courseware and user interfaces, tailored to his level, without commercial `fuzzy information but with opportunities for in-depth study. For example, keep a backup copy of files on a home computer so you can e-mail important information to students.

The contractor shall provide technical and analysis support to the government in support of the USMCC mission and COSPAS-SARSAT. -provide technical support for the analysis of false alarms and interferers, the definition of service areas, the addition of new [Search and Rescue Point of Contacts], the evaluation of new COSPAS-SARSAT related technology, and the commissioning of new MCCs. In support of its contention that the work is beyond the scope of SSAI's contract, the protester points to the language in the SOW that expressly provides that SSAI is not responsible for maintaining any proprietary software, the fact that no express language covering the work is contained in the contract, the fact that when SSAI's contract was let Techno-Sciences was responsible for maintaining the proprietary online software, and the fact that costs under the contract have exceeded the estimated price of the work.

Customer Order Management: the Key Defining Factor of Business Efficiency

Customer service efficiency of any company is directly linked to its customer order management efficiency. Handling hundreds or thousands of purchase orders on a daily basis from as many customers is daunting task for any company. Major suppliers serving different customers look for state of the art customer order management solution that handles large volume sales orders and accounts for optimized fulfilment of all incoming orders. Order management process extends from order promising to shipment of the items. Sometimes order management process can go two steps further, generating customer purchase orders and managing customer inventory.

Inefficiencies associated with unconnected enterprise systems and redundancy are the main challenges to efficient customer order management. Single point, role-based access to relevant data minimizes redundancy and business inefficiencies. Reduced order lead times, efficient management of change orders and efficient supply chain management all are direct representation of efficient customer order management.

Automated, efficient EDI communication between customer and supplier systems without the requirement of email, phone calls or faxes saves time, facilitates communication between relevant departments and trims overhead costs. Such a communication system that provides deep visibility into customer inventory status allows efficient demand forecasts based on up to minute inventory data. This prepares the supplier to meet existing demand from one or hundred customers while efficiently utilizing plant capacity to its fullest. Thus suppliers can take control of the whole order management process. Suppliers can even generate customer level purchase order based on set min/max conditions, replenish supplier inventory and offer highest levels of customer service.

Buyers can also be given visibility into your order fulfilment status – from production line to supply chain or inventory levels. Customers can also enter product order (PO), view PO status (acknowledged, invoiced, shipped etc.) and send or request communication whenever necessary. Suppliers can benefit from instant electronic order generation, quick communication of order status, analyse product demand based on deep visibility into the whole system, and can prepare for email alerts and order changes.

How on-demand Solutions Can Offer Better Customer Order management Efficiencies

On demand order management software is hosted order management solution that connects different ERP systems over a secure network. No requirement of common standards, each party can access data using a standard web browser and can export or retrieve data in any format like spreadsheet, XML or CSV.

Idle data resting in enterprise systems turns to readily usable information while it is delivered at the right location at the right time. An on demand supply chain management solution establishes connection between relevant systems and make relevant data available to where it is needed for demand forecast, plant capacity planning or supply chain management.

Order promises will be streamlined based on accurate, fingertip data of inventory and capacity. The tangible effects of hosted order management solution will be improved customer service, reduced costs, reduced lead times and better management of stock outs and bloated inventory.

Supply chain management solution provider who has partnered with third party shipping companies can offer even deeper levels of supply chain visibility state of the art tracking systems like GPS. This allows to accurate calculation of lead times and delivery times and keeps the whole cycle of business process streamlined.

Deductions For The Business Owner

Congratulations on becoming a business owner. Whether it is your first business or your seventh business it is an exciting time. When you begin a new business, you are filled with ideas beyond your wildest imagination and often cannot even sleep at night for all of the thoughts swirling in your head. You are thinking of ways to market your business, advertise and even ways to get clients. The momentum is unbelievable because you would almost bet money that you are running on sheer adrenalin.

This is one of those times as a business owner; you do not care if you get sleep due to your level of motivation. The key is to keep up the excitement and momentum for your business. It is not necessarily easy to run a business; however you have taken on the challenge and dream of owning your own business.

As a business owner, I am sure one of the things you have thought about are operating expenses. What is it going to costs you to run your business for six months, a year and even two or three years? This is one of those areas that business owners generally think of in addition to start-up costs. I applaud you for thinking these areas through.

What you might not have considered are the different deductions a self-employed business owner have? When you are employed by a company or organization, there are certain items that are deducted from your paycheck. This reduces what you have to consider as a deduction. The work has actually been done for you. Now that you have decided to work for yourself, who is going to educate you on this matter? Will you read books or attend local business classes? I have to tell you that there are people that probably still do not know what business deductions they are allowed because they are not talking with anyone about their business. Or they believe it will not make a difference in their tax situation.

I am here to tell you from first hand experience, as a self-employed business owner, there are many items that I would not have even imagined were deductible and they are. Do not mistakenly disregard self-employed business deductions. That could make the difference between your owing money or receiving money back. If you are at this point and are interested in finding out more about self-employment tax deductions, go to my website at http://www.journeytowholeness.net/index.php?pr=Products

A Franchise Business Needs These Essential Ingredients

A franchise unlike other businesses needs to have special ingredients. These include an easily duplicated business model, decent profit margins, strong brand name and future potential for growth. If these ingredients are in place then it becomes easier to recruit the ideal franchisees.

A business can only be franchised if it is possible to train franchisees how to manage their territory successfully. If specialist skills are required then it becomes harder to franchise. As things currently stand, it is extremely difficult to recruit intelligent and hard working people without adding any extra burdens on the franchise selection team.

A Franchise Business generally requires larger profit margins than normal. This is because the profits have to be shared between franchisee and franchisor. The franchisors share is normally between ten and twelve percent of turnover which is a huge chunk when calculated as a percentage of profits.

A strong brand name is essential for success. The franchisee is not only buying into the business model but paying a franchise fee based on an easily identifiable and distinctive brand. The business name, logos, mission statements and other design characteristics that make up the franchise should be constantly marketed so that the franchisee can remain focused on managing the business.

The niche in which the business operates should have strong growth potential in the future if the franchise model is to succeed in the long term. It might take many years to roll out the franchise in designated territories and during this time it is essential that the market for the products and services is experiencing some growth.

Finding the ideal franchisee to manage the business is often the hardest part of franchising a business. There is huge competition in the market place and most franchisors are seeking the same type of person to buy their franchise opportunity.

In a nutshell the ideal characteristic of a franchisee is the ability to work without supervision. They must have strong interpersonal skills & be able to communicate with customers and staff clearly and efficiently. They must possess decent knowledge of computers to be able to learn how to use and operate the new business systems of the franchisor.

The best age range for an ideal franchisee is between thirty and fifty years old. Any younger and their life experience is severely lacking. If they are older then fifty they usually do not possess the same drive and determination that younger people do. This obviously does not apply in all cases but does generally hold true.

Not all the essential ingredients apply in every business that is considering the franchise model. This article is not about dictating what franchisors should think about. Instead, it is about giving them some ideas of the factors at play and how to think about approaching the franchise model.

How To Make Ends Meet When You Own A Business

Although owning your own business may be the "best thing I ever did," it has its drawbacks, especially in the early days. Many people have unrealistic ideas about business ownership, thinking that it's going to provide them this six figure income right from the first day, especially those who buy into a franchise or established retail business. When they find out that they aren't earning the income they thought they would, they begin to worry that they have made a mistake in judgment and worry about making ends meet. Pre-planning solves a great deal of stress that is involved when building your business during its early creation.

The reason many new business owners have trouble making ends meet is because they fail to plan properly for the days that are going to yield less income. On average, it takes a new business anywhere from three to five years to turn a decent profit. That is true even of a franchise since those early days will involve more income going to the franchise corporation than the franchise owner, so you have to make sure that you plan for that. How can you plan for those early lean income days? One thing you can do in the very beginning is make sure that you save more money before you invest in a business so that you have enough cash set aside toward your living expenses until you start earning a profit from your business. If you are leaving a position with another company to start your own business and are entitled to any kind of severance package such as unused vacation or sick time, retirement buyout, or other benefits, put those aside in a special account in case you need them to assist with personal expenses until your business is profitable enough to operate on its own.

One option that some people do not even know exists is that of a loan for operating capital. This means the business owner can borrow money to see him through until the business becomes self-supporting. Even those who know of this option fail to utilize it properly by setting their goals too high, being over-confident about the time frame for building the business to a profitable level, and then have to return to the bank for more operating capital. This should be included in your business plan, and in order to make sure that you have set realistic goals, sit down with a financial advisor or accountant in order to assure that your business plans includes realistic goals for income generation. Making sure you have all of the working capital you need before you open your business saves you not only from hours of worry but also save you the potential of having to prepare another business plan when you require additional funds.

Contemporary Bar Stools Keep Businesses Sitting Pretty

The only thing that does not change in this world is change. The business world is no exception. At Wall Street, stocks and bonds rise and fall due to hostile takeovers. Multi-billion dollar mergers are a daily thing. Executive decisions are made with the goal of saving a corporation's bottom line, not jobs. In the blink of an eye, seemingly unlimited amounts of money can be zapped from Wall Street to Main Street. In today's every-changing business world, people and corporations trade information at lightning-fast speed. What better way to reflect such exciting, dramatic, and no-nonsense times than through the office furniture? Contemporary bar stools can be as sleek as an iron-clad contract, or as enticing as a job offer.

Furniture in the Offing
The contemporary bar stool is an offspring of the contemporary furniture movement. This furniture can take on several styles, such as traditional, futuristic, and contemporary. In the late half of the 1900s, furniture designers created a style of their own. They avoided the use of flower print fabrics, carvings with details, and dark wood. They opted, instead, for straight lines, smooth styles, and light colors. Light-colored wood, such as birch and maple, was used for various pieces of furniture. Soft curves replaced fancy cut-outs. Furthermore, pieces were upholstered with natural fabrics, such as cotton or silk. Lastly, lighting, art prints, and organic pieces like wood, metal and stone enhanced the use of contemporary furniture.

Not Just for Bars
Contemporary bar stools can be part of an office's motif of contemporary furniture. Although barstools were first used in the Middle Ages, they can be just as useful and attractive in an office setting. The precursors of contemporary bar stools were designed to seat people at a bar. While today's contemporary bar stools may be utilized for the same purpose, they are mostly used to seat office workers, such as architects and artists, who work at an elevated table or counter. What makes barstools so useful? Well, for one, they are more mobile and liberating than typical office chairs. If workers need to frequently adjust their seats' height, or have a free 360 degree range motion, the contemporary bar stool lets them do this with minimal effort.

Executive De-seat-sion
Contemporary bar stools are ideal for offices not exclusively for their function, but also for their form. Companies want options, and such could range from which bidder offers the best product to which burger joint can make and deliver an order within lunch hour. Contemporary bar stools offer worker ants the same diversity of choices. You can choose which luxurious or sleek styles best complement your office's décor. Also, contemporary bar stools are constructed from a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and vinyl. Other choices you can take your pick from include the features of different contemporary bar stools: headrests, armrests, footrests, swivel action, and a choice between gas or manual power. Clearly, there are no limitations to your seating scheme. You could choose contemporary bar stools that are typically found in someone's kitchen, or one that Captain Kirk himself would be happy to perch on for the U.S.S. Enterprise.

There is no denying the business world has become more cutthroat and competitive. Contemporary bar stools can help your office keep up and look good while doing it.

How Does the Gst Affect My Business in New South Wales

The GST (Goods and Services Tax) was implemented on July 1, 2000 in Australia. It affected businesses throughout the country, including most likely your business in New South Wales. Precisely what are the effects of the GST on the operation of your business?

Effects on Consumer Demand

The GST can affect your business in New South Wales by causing fluctuations in demand. Now that the GST has been implemented, this may not be a current issue. However, when the GST was introduced in July of 2000, it had a remarkable and significant effect on demand and consumption of goods and services.

As the day for implementing the GST approached, demand and consumption spiked sharply, especially for goods and services that consumers feared would be much higher with the GST. After the day of implementation passed, demand and consumption fell sharply, actually propelling Australia into its worst economic downturn in ten years.

If there are no changes in the 10 percent tax rate of the GST, there is not likely to be a similar demand roller coaster anytime soon. However, if there is any sort of adjustment in the GST rate, businesses will likely face another period of uncertainty as consumers react to the change.

Effects Through Costs of Compliance

The main way that the GST affects your business in New South Wales is through the costs of compliance. Implementing the GST requires both reporting and technology. Of course, government reporting is faced by businesses worldwide. The main concern for business is when the effort required by government reporting begins to eclipse the core activities of the business. When paperwork and reporting begins to take more time in your business than activities relating to building new business, then you may be headed for trouble.

GST compliance can be expensive to your business in New South Wales in various ways. First of all, certain technology is required to register sales and report to tax authorities. Existing businesses likely have this technology in place, but it represents additional costs for new businesses as well as ongoing maintenance and technical support costs for all businesses.

Depending on the goods and services sold by your business, there may be differential application of the GST; that is, some goods and services are taxed while others are not. Accurately tracking and recording these different transactions can require additional effort. In some cases it may be more effective and efficient to actually hire additional personnel to handle some of these compliance hurdles, but many businesses are reluctant to do so.

Statistics gathered over the last several years of GST administration have indicated that the GST may affect your small business in New South Wales more than larger businesses. In particular, micro-businesses--those with annual turnover of less than $2 million--seem to have a particularly difficult time with GST compliance. Fines for mistakes by micro-businesses were much higher than those for larger businesses.

Effects Through the Integration of New Processes

The GST can affect your business in New South Wales by requiring business practices you might not other need to pursue. For example, you will need to implement business processes that help you to avoid overpayment or underpayment of the GST. Both types of mistakes will result in extra costs for your business. It's also crucial to monitor cash flow so that you can ensure full funding of your required GST payment when due.

Specific effects of the GST on your business may apply in New South Wales. There has been a great deal of debate about the amount of GST paid from New South Wales to the central government compared to the amount received back by the state. There is a perception (which may be real) that New South Wales is in effect funding other states.

It seems quite clear for now that the GST is here to stay. It will continue to affect your business in New South Wales, but there is little that can be done. You will need to be prepared in advance for hard costs like required technology and soft costs like the loss of productivity due to compliance activities. Planning for efficient compliance with GST regulations should be a standard part of every business strategy.

Is A Dating Franchise The Right Business For You?

A dating business might be the right franchise opportunity for you if you want to work from home and enjoy meeting new people.

The numbers of single people are rising all the time as people leave marriage for later and divorce rates are on the increase. People are now working longer hours than before and often need a helping hand to meet the right person.

In the past most members of dating agencies were people in their late twenties and early thirties. This is now no longer the case as people are now living longer and looking for a partner later on in life. Some older people might have got divorced or lost their partner due to unfortunate circumstance.

It is normally an internet based concept where people share knowledge about themselves and it is up to the software programme and yourself to match people together. Often a house visit is required whereby you meet the person looking for a partner in the privacy of their own home.

This is a chance for you to get to know the person so that it becomes easier for you to find the right match for them. It is therefore important to have decent interpersonal skills, computer literacy and some communication skills.

Once the people have been matched together then it is time to arrange a meeting. It is important that the first meeting is held at a public place. To facilitate more open dating in a safe environment, the dating franchises host singles parties, day trips and dinner parties.

Some dating franchises now provide speed dating events where people all come dressed up and spend a few minutes talking to each other before moving to the next candidate. Speed dating takes a lot of organisation but can be fun for the participants!

One of the best features about a dating franchise is that very little stocks are required as you are not selling any products. Another strong feature is that the business can often be run from home as you can hire venues for people to meet.

Some venues like restaurants and bars will even allow you to meet at no cost because they know that your clients will spend money there whilst mingling with prospective partners.

In the new social environment it is possible to get repeat business even if you did find a good match the first time as people are more fickle now and likely to move from one relationship to another.

If you do decide to buy into a dating franchise make sure you speak to other franchisees to find out how they are faring. With this type of business it is often better to go for an established brand that already has internet presence.

You might have to pay more but you will benefit from their national coverage, fully prepared marketing material and advertising campaigns.

Some of the newer dating franchises are not so well established and struggle to provide customers to their new franchisees. Their training programmes are not as slick and their marketing materials have not been developed fully.

Training is often provided at the headquarters of the company or is sometimes done in a nice hotel. It is normally between a few days and a week in length.

Finally always take independent expert advice before signing any papers and embarking on a new business. A dating franchise could be potentially lucrative if you buy into the right concept.

Affirmative Action and Eeo Help Businesses Diversity

In order to give all persons a chance to show their full capability, affirmative action and Equal Employment Opportunity laws were enacted to ensure diversity in the work place. Many employers and business managers might not understand how important this is, so affirmative action training is often necessary. Affirmative action and EEO training is about more than just compliance, it is about understanding why these laws are in place and why they benefit organizations.

Affirmative action training helps employers understand what the concept is in the first place. Affirmative action requires federally contracted employers to hire employees that are reflective of the population around them, including all gender and racial and ethnic groups. With affirmative action training, employers should be able to avoid discrimination and perhaps negate some of the past discriminations. EEO training is also necessary for all employers, because this training includes correct behaviors from the time a person applies to the time they leave the company.

The ideas behind affirmative action and Equal Employment Opportunity laws are that everyone should have a fair chance, regardless of what the employer thinks about their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion or disability. A good affirmative action program should ensure EEO compliance and representation of minorities and women. An affirmative action plan should also include plans to eliminate any under presentation, and clearly state their plans to encourage affirmative action.

Generally, affirmative action training promotes diversity through training and development, work design, staffing and compensation programs. And besides EEO compliance, EEO training should incorporate other policy-related decisions considering diversity implications in the decision making process.

Without proper affirmative action and EEO training, organizational behavior and organizational policy is not always consistent. Qualified minorities and women might be gaining entrance to company doors, for example, but their career development might not be used in combination with a diversity orientation. An affirmative action programs should work toward enabling minorities and women to perform to their potential through career development.

With affirmative action the demographics should change to coincide with the national landscape. Organizations will have to change in order to retain commitment and mobilize the workforce for productivity. This shift will call for affirmative action training and EEO training. This should also be coupled with promoting qualified individuals even when they do not look or think like what has traditionally been viewed as “normal.”

That is truly what affirmative action is about; giving everyone a chance based on their qualifications and not the way they look like or the personal views they carry.

Good Hr Training is Vital for Business Managers

The modern business world requires human resources training for employees to ensure a positive work environment. The reason that HR training is so valuable is because it helps managers improve their conflict managing skills, and their abilities to hire and keep good employees. There’s no reason that a business should lose productivity because of personal problems in the workplace. With HR training courses, managers can build the skills to solve little problems before they become big troubles.

Human resources training helps managers build certain skills to deal with personal problems among their employees. One skill that managers build through HR training is performing a good interview with a prospective employee. This is the first interaction that managers have with new employees, and it sets the tone for the workplace relationship. HR training courses provide managers with the knowledge of what is appropriate and what is not.

There are certain laws that prohibit managers from asking questions about an applicant’s religion, sexual orientation, number of children or marital status, for example. Without good human resources training, an interviewer might not even realize that they are in violation of Equal Employment Opportunity laws. Fundamental HR training courses provide managers with information about all the current laws, as well as basic appropriate behavior. This is beneficial for both the employer and the potential employee, so both parties will get what they want out of the situation.

Another skill that managers learn through human resources training is the ability to work with others. Managers not only need the skills to hire good staff, but also to keep them working efficiently. HR training gives managers the skills to prepare to find good staff, clearly state the demands and expectations, and to keep them working efficiently without overworking them. Communication is one of the most fundamental skills learned in effective HR training courses. This includes oral and written communication with staff, as well as listening skills.

Another basic skill taught in human resources training is making the values and goals of the company clear to everyone, including new employees. Without the right HR training, many new managers might not know how to send a cohesive message to all the staff. If the staff doesn’t know what they’re working towards, managers will have a mess on their hands.

Another important HR training skill is giving positive feedback to employees when they’re achieving these goals. Quality HR training courses will always tell managers to encourage them and let them know that they are making progress. This fosters a positive work environment in which employees can thrive. It is necessary to have HR training in any modern business environment in order to get the best work and most positive attitudes from employees.

Things You Should Know Before Opening A Carpet Cleaning Business

With many companies downsizing and laying off employees there are many individuals out there in the prime of their lives trying to decide what they should do for a living. They often have a sizable amount of money from severance packages and are looking for businesses to invest in. If this sounds like you and you are thinking of starting a carpet cleaning business there are some things that you should know. Read this article to learn more.

Carpet cleaning is an attractive business for a number of people because of the high profit potential that seemingly exist. Many franchisers and equipment manufacturers will be quick to tell you that you can make a fortune in the industry. This is true but it is not as easy as it sounds. You can not simply buy a van with a cleaning rig and get a yellow page listing and expect to make a killing. If you think that you will probably soon be taking out a classified ad to sell your cleaning equipment. So how do you make money in this industry. The name of the game in this industry, and every other one for that matter, is advertising. Without a successful advertising campaign you will never make a dime. You have to get your name in front of the customer. You can do this several ways. One way to get customers is with a fancy yellow page ad. This is expensive and a full page ad can often run a thousand dollars a month and require a one year commitment. Another way to get customers is to use direct mail. This requires that you purchase a mailing list and send out multiple mailings to the same people. Customers usually need to see your name several times before they will usually so with direct mail you must be consistent. One final way I will discuss to find customers is to make a website. The problem with websites is making them rank well. This can be tricky and can take time and experience. Websites are well worth the effort however as many customers look to them instead of the phone book. There are several other methods of advertising to choose from including referral marketing, marketing to realtors and even billboard advertising. The choices are endless.

As you can see there are many different ways to advertise your company. None of them are perfect and they all require some level of commitment. It is well worth the effort however so be sure to come up with a good advertising campaign before you open the doors of your carpet cleaning company. Just remember to be creative and be consistent and you can have a successful and profitable business.

What Are Some Key Legal Aspects Of Starting A Business?

When starting up a business, there are some important legal matters that you'll have to deal with, no matter how much you'd love to just dive in and get started. However, if you neglect these legal steps, you're going to find that maintaining the business down the road becomes much more difficult, and in some cases, impossible. It's in your best interest to take these legal aspects seriously and get them sorted out as soon as possible when starting a business.

1) Develop a Strategic Business Plan

This plan will be the blueprint and backdrop for your business - the thing upon which all other aspects of starting your business are based. Also, having a business plan will make it much easier for you to receive financing for your new business. Very few people actually have the available funds to cover start-up costs, and a business plan is something you can present to family, banks, or other private investors to gain their confidence in your venture. It should outline in detail how you plan to operate your business, and exactly what this business is.

2) What Kind of Legal Entity is Your Business?

This will determine whether you can be sued for issues arising between the business and your customers. It is extremely important, and often neglected when starting a business, but this can actually make or break you during those crucial first years when the business is trying to be established and grow. You do not want to be left with liability issues, debt problems, or unnecessary obligations, and what kind of legal entity you are will also determine the tax strategy that the government applies to your business. Protect yourself from liability issues, and make sure you're not personally held responsible for any unfortunate happenings.

3) Determine Capitalization

You cannot survive as a business without proper capitalization, and this will include both matters of equity and debt. Equity is gained through sales of business ownership interest, such as stock shares, allowing this portion of capital to not require repayment to financial backers. Before you even think about starting your business, you'll need to have a decent rapport with your bank or an established financial institution. If you don't have adequate capital, your business will fail, regardless of how thorough your business plan was.

4) Taxes, Taxes, Taxes

Everyone pays taxes... and so will you and your business. You'll have to deal with income tax, employment tax, sales tax, and any other state taxes imposed by local governments. If your business fails to pay the required taxes, you as an owner will be held responsible - thus, you'll need to develop tax plans for your business on a regular basis, in order to ensure you're following the most current regulations and tax laws.

9/10 Small Business Have Absolutely No Idea About Small Business Insurance

There are several factors that you should take into account when determining what varieties of insurance coverage you need: how large or small your small business is, how it's organized (partnership, sole proprietorship, corporation, LLC), the number of employees, how you get paid (commissions, salary, fees), whether your small business is service or product oriented, your exposure to liability and location.

Things that you should consider:

Heaven forbid, but do you have more than enough insurance to protect your spouse and children? If you have a small service business, your small business is worth Zero when you die. For example, the spouse of a deceased doctor or lawyer can only sell the tools of the trade, not the clients (the true bread and butter of any small service business). Get a crystal ball and see into the future to know when you are going to die then you could sell your small business before you kick the bucket. But that's not very likely, so you and every small service business owner should make sure that you protect your family with at least seven times your gross income. So, if you make $100,000 per year then you should have over $700,000 in insurance.

If your goal is to have a member of your family take over your small business at your demise, are they capable (and licensed) to do so?

Do you have disability insurance, in case you're incapable of running your enterprise because of illness or injury? Disability insurance will generally pay about 60% of your income for a stated period of time. The benefit may be taxable or non-taxable (depending on whether or not you deducted the premium as a business expense.)

Even more important is your answer to this question: Do you have "business overhead insurance"? While you're out of commission, who will cover the costs of running your small business like utilities, insurance and salaries? Disability Insurance will not cover your small business overhead expenses, unless it is an add-on.

Got business partners? Do you have a buy/sell agreement? Should your partner die, you will be protecting your interest in the business. Here's a great example of this: your partner dies and his wife wants to claim her share of the business. Do you really want your deceased partner's relatives to take over their share of the business? Wouldn't you simply rather buy out your partner's share of the company? Well, with this additional insurance, you wouldn't have to worry about your partner's family interfering with your small business.

Do you have "disability buy-out coverage"? If your partner was to become severly disabled, you would be presented with several problems without this particular type of insurance. Do you want to keep paying him (or her) for work he cannot do, possibly for years? You wouldn't have to worry about this situation if you have this type of insurance because your partner would be forced, based upon a previously signed and equitable agreement, to sell his portion of the company to you.

Of course, it's entirely possible that none of these problems may ever come up but it's your small business after all. Now, all you have to do is speak to a professional to determine what varieties of insurance coverage you need to protect your small business.

money make a business

can be found in many places on the Internet, as well as the traditional trade journals, magazines or newspaper advertisements that invite a person to invest in a new career. If one has the money to buy into a franchise and open a fast-food restaurant or chain store of some kind, there is a certain customer base one can expect because of the familiarity of the brand name. Provided the location is well chosen and the management is done correctly, a person can expect to have a profitable endeavor. For women who are looking for money making businesses, the most popular are the ones that deal with makeup, jewelry, or home products. She can set up an establishment to be run out of her home, and customers agree to entertain friends at their homes where the seller can demonstrate or exhibit the products. With light refreshments and plenty of time to make decisions, everyone has a good time, and at least some of the attendees will buy something. Shipment of the products is usually made within a couple of weeks of purchase. There are even lines of clothing that are sold in this manner. Combining work and pleasure is a good way to run an enterprise, particularly if women are the customers.By far the greatest class of money making business opportunities a person will find on the Internet is the home-based Internet job. The lure of having an endeavor that can be run without leaving home is very strong indeed. Since commuting can be such a serious hassle, not having to get into the car to do one's job is very attractive. Of course, working at home for both men and women eliminates the need for an appropriate wardrobe for an office. Putting on makeup in the morning stops being a necessity for the women who are engaged in home-based money making businesses. There are a few things all of these home businesses that are advertised on the Internet have in common. They all promise that everyone buying into the enterprise will make huge incomes, and will have all the help they need to succeed. Another common thread is the amount of time a person is expected to spend doing the required tasks--no one has to work full time. Another website claims that 99% of home-based businesses fail. So who is a person to believe?Anyone looking into money making business opportunities would be wise to take the big money claims with a grain of salt. There are those who are aggressive in promoting the products, and can put in the kind of time that will ensure a very good income. That isn't done on a part-time basis though. Long hours are really what it takes to make great sums of money. Part-time will earn a person a decent wage, but probably will not make him rich. Many of these companies do keep their word about giving the new business persons the help they need to succeed. Any time a person is dealing with strangers, the Better Business Bureau is their best ally. Also, it's important for Christians to remember that money shouldn't be the most important thing in one's life. "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (1Titus 6:10) Even before checking out whether a particular one of these money making businesses is the right one, a person has to decide what kind of enterprise is going to suit his lifestyle. Some people enjoy talking to potential customers and affiliates on the phone, and since some of these businesses require phone contacts, the coming together of those two creates a happy relationship. Those people who do not like making contacts that way will be looking for another company that doesn't require that. Money making business opportunities exist where all contacts are made via e-mail, and the rest is handled online. A different personality type is more suited to that kind of enterprise. With a little research, almost anyone can find something online that will be suitable to his personality, and allow him to reach his goal of independence. For a lot of people looking for money making business opportunities, the most important factor is being one's own boss. Setting one's own schedule while doing something they really want to do is at the top of the list of priorities. Taking that step requires self-discipline, however, and some people find they don't have enough of that. This need for imposed scheduling is the thing that keeps some would-be home businesspeople from succeeding. Self-discipline and goal setting go hand in hand. The person who can accomplish certain things every day will see his endeavors grow and prosper, while the person who eliminates scheduling and goal setting from his agenda will not.Often people look for money making businesses that will allow them to capitalize on the skills they learned on a previous jobs, even though this one is different. The salesman who is tired of peddling widgets may wish to turn to insurance policies or health products, where his sales skills will be valuable. The woman who worked as an office administrator may want to do data entry or write business articles. There are plenty of choices among the money making businesses.

How to raise money to start a business

The task of raising money for a business is not as difficult as most people seem to think. This is especially true when you have an idea that can make you and your backers rich. Actually, there's more money available for new business ventures than there are good business ideas.
A very important rule of the game to learn: Anytime you want to raise money, your first move should be to put together a proper prospectus.
This prospectus should include a resume of your background, your education, training, experience and any other personal qualities that might be counted as an asset to your potential success. It's also a good idea to list the various loans you've had in the past, what they were for, and your history in paying them off.
You'll have to explain in detail how the money you want is going to be used. If it's for an existing business, you'll need a profit and loss record for at least the proceeding six months, and a plan showing how this additional money will produce greater profits. If it's a new business, you'll have to show your proposed business plan. Your marketing research and projected cost, as well as anticipated income figure, with a summary for each year, over at least a three-year period.
It'll be advantageous to you to base your cost estimates high, and your income projections on minimal returns. This will enable you to "ride through" those extreme "ups and downs" inherent in any beginning business. You should also describe what makes your business unique-how it differs from your competition, and the opportunities for expansion or secondary products.
This prospectus will have to state precisely what you're offering the investor in return for the use of his money. He'll want to know the percentage of interest you're willing to pay, and whether monthly, quarterly or on an annual basis. Are you offering a certain percentage of the profits? A percentage of the business -A seat on your board of directors?
An investor uses his money to make more money. He wants to make as mush as he can, regardless whether it's a short term or long term deal. In order to attract him, interest him, and persuade him to "put up" the money you need, you'll not only have to spell it out in detail, and further, back up your claims with proof from your marketing research.
Venture investors are usually quite familiar with "high risk" proposals, yet they all want to minimize that risk as much as possible. Therefore, your prospectus should include a listing of your business and personal assets with documentation- usually copies of your tax returns for the past three years or more. Your prospective investor may not know anything about you or your business, but if he wants to know, he can pick up his telephone and know everything there is to know within 24 hours. The point here is don’t ever try to "con" a potential investor. Be honest with him. Lay all the facts on the table for him in most cases, if you've got a good idea and you've done your homework properly, an "interested investor" will understand your position and offer more help than you dared to ask.
When you have your prospectus prepared, know how much money you want, exactly how it will be used, and how you intend to repay it. You're ready to start looking for investors.
As simple as it seems, one of the easiest ways of raising money is by advertising in a newspaper of a national publication featuring such ads. Your ad should state the amount of money you want-always for more money than you need so you have room for negotiating. Your ad should also state the type of business involved (to separate the curious from the truly interested), and the kind of return you're promising on the investment.
Take a page from the party plan merchandisers. Set up a party and invite your friends over. Explain your business plan, the profit potentials, and how much you need. Give them each a copy of your prospectus and ask that they pledge a thousand dollars as a non-participating partner in your business. Check with the current tax regulations. You may be allowed up to 25 partners in Sub Chapter S enterprises, opening the door for anyone to gather a group of friend around himself with something to offer them in return for their assistance in capitalizing his business.
You can also issue and sell up to $300.00 worth of stock in your company without going through the SEC. You'll need the help of an attorney to do this, however, and of course a good tax accountant as well wouldn't hurt.
It's always a good idea to have an attorney and an accountant help you make up your business prospectus. As you explain your plan to them, and ask for their advice, casually ask them if they'd mind letting you know of, or steer your way any potential investor they might happen to meet. Do the same with your banker. Give him a copy of your prospectus and ask him if he'd look it over and offer any suggestion for improving it, and of course, let you know of any potential investors. In either case, it's always a good idea to let them know you're willing to pay a "finder's fee" if you can be directed to the right investor.
Professional people such as doctors and dentists are known to have a tendency to join occupational investment groups. The next time you talk with your doctor or dentist, give him a prospectus and explain your plan. He may want to invest on his own or perhaps set up an appointment for you to talk with the manager of his investment group. Either way, you win because when you're looking for money, it's essential that you get the word out to as many potential investors as possible.
Don't overlook the possibilities of the Small Business Investment Companies in your area. Look them up in your telephone book under "Investment Services." These companies exist for the sole purpose of lending money to businesses, which they feel have a good chance of making money. In many instances, they trade their help for a small interest in your company.
Many states have Business Development Commissions whose goal is to assist in the establishment and growth of new businesses. Not only do they offer favorable taxes and business expertise, most also offer money or facilities to help a new business get started. Your Chamber of Commerce is the place to check for further information on this idea.
Industrial banks are usually much more amenable to making business loans than regular banks, so be sure to check out these institutions in your area. Insurance companies are prime sources of long-term business capital, but each company varies its policies regarding the type of business it will consider. Check your local agent for the name and directors of another company to invest in your business. Look for a company that can benefit from your product or service. Also, be sure to check at you public library for available foundation grants. These can be the final answer to all your needs if your business is perceived to be related to the objectives and activities of the foundation.
Finally, there's the Money Broker or Finder. These are the people who take your prospectus and circulate it with various known lenders or investors. They always require an up-front or retainer fee, and there's no way they can guarantee to get you the loan or the money you want.
There are many very good money brokers, and there are some that are not so good. They all take a percentage of the gross amount that's finally procured for your needs. The important thing is to check them out fully; find out about the successful loans or investment plans they've arranged, and what kind of investor contacts they have all of this before you put up any front money or pay any retainer fees.
There are many ways to raise money-from staging garage sales to selling stocks. Don't make the mistake of thinking that the only place you can find the money you need is through the bank or finance company.
Start thinking about the idea of inviting investors to share in your business as silent partners. Think about the idea of obtaining financing for a primary business by arranging financing for another business that will support the start-up, establishment and development of the primary business. Consider the feasibility of merging with a company that's already organized, and with facilities that are compatible or related to your needs. Give some thought to the possibilities of getting the people supplying your production equipment to co-sign the loan you need for start-up capital. This is truly the age of creative financing.
Disregard the stories you hear of "tight money," and start making phone calls, talking to people, and making appointments to discuss your plans with the people who have money to invest. There's more money now than there's ever been for new business investment. The problem is that most beginning "business builders" don't know what to believe or which way to turn for help. They tend to believe the stories of "tight money," and they set aside their plans for a business of their own until a time when start-up money might be easier to find.
The truth is this: Now is the time to make your move. Now is the time to act. The person with a truly viable business plan, and determination to succeed, will make use of every possible idea that can be imagined. And the ideas I've suggested here should serve as just a few of the unlimited sources of monetary help available and waiting for you!
